Cabincore / New Utopias
An in-progress series of textile prints and collages that explores the alienation, aspirational desires and escapist fasntasies present in the Cabincore aesthetic and cultural movement.
The series combines 1970s Polish catalog imagery with references to American back-to the land and utopian movements, employing common craft techniques such as quilting and applque.
